Good use of monochrome for ancient architecture. Film is to be venerated. Surprisingly you can produce a very similar effect with Nikon digital without a fancy post processing app. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0dfQ4GwOk5oEKgafbTRTMsBIA
if i have to take them again with a digital camera, most likely i won't process them in black&white. the old stones have a grey/cream-ish color that i wouldn't want to lose. thanks for the link!
These are great and perfect subjects for black and white...the AE1 was my first 'proper' camera bought in 1980. I've still got it and your images are a great motivation to take it out soon!
Honestly they just made me want to go out and find some similar structures to take pictures of. It would be so satisfying no matter hiw well they turned out.
I love exploring ruins! Where was this?
these photos are from several places. there are at least 3 (that i know of) ruined abbeys an friaries in my area.
Ah, you're lucky!
There is something intriguing about ruins. Nice photographs!
thank you!
Fabulous! The subject matter so suits being shot on film.
thanx!
Beautifully evocative photos. Thank you.
Beautiful photography. The fact they're black and white adds another layer of meaning, simplicity and rawness to it.
thank you!
I love them. The b/w works perfectly here! If I would have to pick a favorite it would be no. 4.
This was one of my favorite things to do in Ireland, finding and photographing these ruins.
foarte frumos!
multumesc
The black and white wonderfully adds depth and antiquity to these photos. Love it!
thank you!
Thanks for this. Brilliant. Nicely done.
thank you!
The ruins in monochrome look incredible! I particularly like the frame within a frame shots through the windows.
thanx!
👌👌
Great shots, I love the symmetry in most of these!
