Digital colour
This post is related to two different posts:
1. At the start of the year I said that I will try to use digital cameras more often and not let them gathering dust.
2. At the start of February I explained that for me digital photos are coloured photos.
Now I will reiterate again: there’s nothing wrong with using digital cameras to take b&w photos - I did it myself and probably I will do it again but with amount of b&w film that I have in the fridge, what’s the point of using a digital camera for b&w photos? Yes, I agree that taking b&w photos on film is different than on digital, digital has a larger dynamic range (more shades of grey if you like) but to me that’s not the point. So, with all of the above in mind, I picked a digital camera and I went in search for colour. Nothing special, just a bit of colour for a change, a bit of colour to mark the start of spring and I came home with the photos bellow. Now, please tell me, was I wrong to take them in colour? I didn’t pick the colour palette for any of them but I don’t think that b&w would have done them justice.
(to be continued)

Well, you know I love my digital cameras and I love color so this was a pleasant post to wake up to! The saturation is robust. As Susanne said, it wouldn't have been the same in monochrome, only because it would have carried a different "tune". I like the subject matter and I think it enjoyed singing in color :).... I always say that digital and film are two separate mediums and each has its own benefits. Lately, I have been 50/50, depending on my mood. Thank you for sharing your color images.
I don‘t think they would have worked in b&w. I love them in colour though!
