I love the soft effects of the Lomo group of cameras, I have a Holga who have associations with them although not their brand, but like you I'm not a great fan of colour shifting. That said, these are beautifully soft and the film gives them such an ethereal feel 😊
Haha that’s okay. It’s one of those games I played back in the early 90s when we first got a personal computer and thought “why would we need an internet?” ;-)
You know how I think about these films, but I gotta say - I really like these. The tree and low angle of the dune grasses are my favorite. It is good to see photos from your Lubitel!
Also thanks for the short historic Lesson. Lubitel surely made some fun cameras. I always wanted a Lomo-LCA but never got one. Instead I have a Holga, Diana, Lubitel 166B and a Sprocket Rocket… I really should use them some time. Especially the Sprocket Rocket…
Thank you for sharing! I had heard of the Diana cameras, but didn’t know about the others. Your experiments are really fun and you ended up with some beautiful and unique photos. As a beach bum I especially loved the first 3. I have a roll of lomography turquoise I need to try.
I'm not usually drawn to lomography but what I do like is the light and the consistency on your images and of course, your openness to experimenting. Nice job! I think my Holga in b&w is probably my favorite outlet of that kind.
What’s that saying by Forrest Gump. “Like a box of choc-o-lates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” 😆 That’s some shifting going on. Thanks for sharing this information.
"I’m not a fan of colour shifting but..." I think it's cheap entertainment to play with the sliders, but you're forced into a certain color scheme due to outside forces, and you know that going into it, but still can't quite predict the outcome... then that's kinda fun.
Great experiment
thanx!
Fascinating insight, thank you.
thank you!
Very cool.
thanx!
A Martian landscape? Although, like you, I'm not one for colour shifting, I do find these images quite striking. Thanks for sharing.
thank you!

I didn’t know that Lomo as an acronym! They’re fun cameras and films to play around with.
yes they are
Wacky! Looks like a fun experiment. So niche though. 😁
thank you!
Pretty cool. Kind of reminds me playing Sokoban in "4 color" CGA (was like pink/purple, white and some sort of green) (https://www.uvlist.net/game-161293-Sokoban) ;-)
never heard of that game 🙈

Looks like a fun experiment! I like that beach photograph with three people
thank you!

use them on your own time and when you're ready show us the results 😊

Great Wall Plastic Factory. Classic! I've been playing with a couple rolls of Harman Red. Its a way to expand the eye with a bit of fun.
