Beach visit and a light leak
On a bright sunny day in June, I went to the beach. Not because I wanted to swim, not to get a tan but because I wanted a harsh light to test the Cosina. The PM-1 model from Cosina has an integrated light meter that can be seen in the form of a vertical scale on the left hand side in the viewfinder. To be on the safe side, I compared the camera’s readings with the light meter app on the phone and in 90% of the cases the results were similar. In the other 10% the difference was minor so I’m happy with the light meter in the camera, it is accurate.
What I’m not happy with is the light leak on the left of the images; yes, the photos might look vintage, they might look more like a collection from a lomography club but it is not what I want. I’m not a technical expert in camera repairs but it looks to me like a seal is gone so the Cosina has to go for repairs.
If any of you knows why this happened, don’t be shy, leave a comment with an advice or opinion. Oh, comments are not restricted to technical expertise, they are welcome anytime regarding anything photography or creativity.

Ha, I like your clarification that aside from the novelty, it is preferable to have a camera that doesn't have this "feature" all the time :)
Hope you are able to get it sorted, but then again, these photos do have that excellent vintage look!
I like light leaks, but I understand that you want to figure out the why. Sorry, no help here…
