With 2024 gone and 2025 just started, it’s time for reflecting on what has been. Pointless to say that these experiences thought me a few things and I very much value that. I will also share my hopes for the new year.
Regarding Substack
I managed to get new subscribers and followers and I cannot thank you enough, it just shows that my work interest people and it’s not in vain.
I am very proud of the collaborations that I had during the year, those were not only fun but mostly challenging and creative.
I am also proud of my series of interviews which helped not only growing the photographic community on Substack but discover and promote new photographers.
Regarding photography
I aquired a few cameras and I’m very happy with my purchases. Yes, not all of them worked out but they were part of the experience. And what else I’m happy with is that I didn’t buy the cameras just to add them to my collection but I used them and I will continue to do so.
It is not possible to talk about cameras without mentioning the films: I tried out a few new ones (new for me anyway) along with more well established brands, all in all happy with the results.
Regarding 2025
For this year I hope to maintain the frequency of my posts (weekly) and to have more collaborations. As I always said: all you have to do is getting in touch, I’m open to new adventures. Also a shout-out to whoever wants to take part in the interviews, these are photography related and the interviewed person has to have a Substack account. I have few of them ready to be published but the list won’t last to the end of the year.
My personal aim for this year is to use my digital cameras more often. Yes, I use them for rugby and other assignments but I feel like they are left aside a bit and gathering dust so I promise myself to take them out more.
That’s it for this post. Hope and wish everybody a good year ahead!
Wishing you a creative and happy new year! May it be filled with good light, photographic opportunities and fun collaborations...
Have a wonderful new year! I dropped the ball on the interview sometime back but would love to give it a go this year!
