Lomochrome turquoise
Not long ago I posted an article about an effect film called Kono! Original Galaxy. In case you missed it, you can find it here:
Well, my experiments with effect films didn’t stop there. I presume that most of people using film, or are related in a way with photography heard of Lomography, that “section” of photography where colours are shifted and the results are interesting, strange, intrigue. So, together with the two rolls of Kono! Galaxy, I also bought two rolls of Lomochrome Turquoise made by Lomography in Germany.
According to the box, the Lomochrome is a XR colour negative film, with 36 exposures, working at 100-400 ISO and can be processed in C-41 as any normal coloured film. The following images are the results of using the film.
At the beach
At the fish market
On a hike
At the church
Out and about
What I’ve learned? I think the effect is interesting, I understand why it can have such appeal for people, but it is not interesting enough to make me want to do more. I also think that there’s too much grain for my taste from a 400 ISO film. Of course I will use the second roll and probably I will post the results but the excitement is gone, I rather buy more Kono! Galaxy than Lomochrome.

i had to try it in order to say "it's not for me"
I like that you tried different environments. But to be honest I don‘t like these colours at all. Looks weird. The first image, I like though but all in all these colours are too cold for my taste. But thanks for trying it out. Now I din‘t have to! 🤣
